Welcome to Scarred, Still Liv
Scars tell stories. Some are visible. Most are not.
Scarred, Still Liv was born from the belief that surviving isn't the end of the story—it's the beginning of learning how to truly live again.
If you've found your way here, you may be carrying the weight of PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or experiences that have changed you forever. You may feel exhausted from fighting battles no one else can see. You may be searching for hope, understanding, or simply someone who gets it.
Whatever road brought you here, you're in the right place.
This isn't a blog about pretending everything is okay. It's about navigating the messy, complicated reality of healing while still living life. Some days will be victories. Some days will simply be survival. Both matter.
The name Scarred, Still Liv is a reminder that our scars don't erase who we are. They are evidence that we've endured. They speak to pain, but they also speak to resilience. We are scarred, yet we are still living. We are still growing. We are still worthy of joy.
My hope is that this space feels less like reading a blog and more like sitting down with someone who understands that healing isn't linear--someone who understands that there is a spectacular person behind the diagnosis. Someone who wants you to win.
Please keep in mind that this information comes from a survivor, not a professional. What will be found here is meant to help those who feel isolated realize they are not alone and to provide coping mechanisms that might lessen the discomfort and pain. It cannot replace professional help, though. I hope you find some form of solace here, but I encourage you to seek the assistance of someone who is professionally trained to help you deal with your struggles as well.
Thank you for being here. Whether you're staying for one post or many, I hope you leave each visit feeling a little more understood, a little less alone, and a little more hopeful than when you arrived.
Welcome to Scarred, Still Liv.
The scars remain.
So does the strength.
So do we.

- Reminders that your diagnosis is part of your story—not the whole story.
The reality of living with mental health challenges
Living with PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression is a journey filled with moments that are often unseen by others. It can be exhausting, unpredictable, frustrating, and isolating--but it can also reveal strength, resilience, and a deeper understanding of ourselves.
This space is dedicated to honest reflections about the realities of navigating life with mental health challenges. Here, we talk about the difficult days, the unexpected victories, the setbacks, the growth, and the lessons learned along the way.
This isn't about hiding the hard parts or pretending healing is a straight path. It's about sharing the truth--the struggles we face, the progress we make, and the courage it takes to keep showing up.
Because behind every diagnosis is a person. A whole person with dreams, fears, flaws, strengths, and a story worth telling.
Grounding Techniques, coping strategies & self-care
Healing isn't about finding one perfect solution--it's about discovering what helps you make it through today. Here you'll find practical coping strategies, grounding techniques, self-care ideas, and real-life tools for navigating PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression. Take what helps, leave what doesn't, and remember: every small step forward is still progress.
When hope feels far away
Some days, hope feels impossible to find. Some days, simply making it through is an accomplishment worth recognizing.
This space is a collection of encouraging stories, personal reflections, and reminders that even the darkest seasons can change. Through shared experiences, moments of resilience, and small victories, we hope to offer a little light for the days when you need it most.
You are not alone in your struggles. You are not defined by your hardest moments. Even when progress is invisible, healing is still happening.
Come here when you need a reminder: your story is still being written.
More than a diagnosis
A diagnosis can explain parts of our journey, but it does not define who we are. PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma may shape our experiences, but they are only chapters in a much bigger story.
This space is a reminder that life after trauma is not just about surviving--it is about rediscovering, rebuilding, and creating moments of meaning, connection, and joy. Healing does not mean forgetting what happened; it means learning that what happened does not have the power to take away everything that comes next.
You are more than your symptoms. More than your struggles. More than the things that tried to break you.
A scar is proof that something hurt you--but it is also proof that you survived.
Your story is still unfolding, and there can still be beautiful, unexpected, spectacular chapters ahead.
